Boat-docking shore carriage is an alternative for challenging or gentle shores
Roller XR is a new type of boat dock with rubber wheels. Unlike other boat docking systems, it has no rails or keel rollers but a trolley that moves between water and dry land, controlled by a winch. Therefore, it is an excellent docking solution for gentle shores or if the water level changes a lot, in which case it would be expensive to install rails. The terrain of the shore must be moderately flat and the soil sufficiently load-bearing so that a wheeled carriage can easily travel the distance.
Two-way winch as a speciality
The shore may also have such a gentle slope that the tray of the docking system cannot roll towards the water by merely relying on its own weight. The winch of the new device pulls in two directions, which is a pioneering invention in its field and allows the device to be used on shores with very gentle slopes, or even on flat land.
The two-way winch technology of the shore carriage is controlled with wireless remote control. The long enough operating distance ensures that the boat can be brought to the shore safely. The appropriate length for the pull distance is selected according to the steepness of the shore and the fluctuations of the water level in the same way as in EasyBoatRoller equipped with rails. However, extending the Dyneema rope is enough to extend the pulling distance in a shore carriage, so even a long pulling distance does not significantly affect the costs.
Easy winter docking
One of the shore carriage's important advantages is easy winter docking. The boat can also be left on the shore carriage for the duration of the winter season. The only task when preparing for the winter season is to remove the pull rope and pulley from the anchor, which takes about half an hour.

We got Roller XR for the challenging archipelago of Vaasa, Finland, where the water level varies greatly. Our shore is gentle and Roller XR was the best solution to our problem. In front of our island is the open sea and when it's windy, it winds "all the way from Europe". Now we can get the boat up to the shore easily and quickly, even in strong winds. The bottom of the boat stays cleaner and you don't see it sticking because the bottom of the boat dries on the trailer on weekends and it is easy to wash it there. The best thing about this shore wagon is; on top of this I winterize our other boat, so in the spring the tarpaulin is removed and the boat is in the sea...easy. Ice is not an obstacle for this carriage, because there is nothing in the sea in winter that could break."

Roller XR's carriage is driven so deep into the water that the boat floats. Side guides guide the boat to settle in the middle of the carriage. Driving the boat onto and off the trailer requires no force. The winch is controlled by wireless remote control.
