Frequently asked questions
How do I know, what length EasyBoatRoller I need?
The inclination of the shore, the changes in water levels and the length of the boat have the main effect on determining the right length. For the EasyBoatRoller to work properly, the rails must be taken deep enough into the water for the boat to be lowered far enough to float on the carriage. In addition to the draught of the boat, approximately 20-25 cm (8-10 in) of water is needed.

What is the most suitable carrying capacity class for my boat?
EasyBoatRoller’s carrying capacity classes refer to overall carrying capacity. The carrying capacity class is determined according to the weight and length of the boat and the weight of the engine, equipment and passengers. For example, if the weight of the boat is 400 kg (882 lbs) and the weight of the motor is 100 kg (220 lbs), in addition to which the fuel, equipment and passengers weigh a total of 300 kg (660 lbs), a device with a carrying capacity of 1,000 kg (2205 lbs) is needed = VR-1000.

Is EasyBoatRoller suitable for boats of all lengths?
Yes, it is. The carriage is always measured according to the length of the boat.
What types of shores can EasyBoatRoller be installed at?
The EasyBoatRoller can be placed on a variety of shores. If it is a case of a steep shore, the rear part of the carriage is heightened with a heightening set that is available as an optional accessory. In extremely gently sloping shores, it is worth noting that the rails must have an inclination of at least 7 cm/per metre (2.8 in / per 3.3 ft). In shallower shores, a better option is the new shore trolley Roller XR.
The boat dock can also be installed at irregular shores. The rails are load-bearing, so it is enough for them to be supported below the joints, and the shore does not necessarily need to be flattened.
How does EasyBoatRoller withstand seawater?
We have invested in the EasyBoatRoller being durable in seawater. The frame of the boat dock is made of hot-rolled steel, which is hot-dip galvanized. The thickness of the zinc layer is on average approx. 150 µm, and therefore it is also suitable for coastal areas. The dock does not have any bearings or any other components that are at risk of corrosion. The cores and fixtures of the wheels are made of acid-resistant steel. The wooden parts of EasyBoatRoller are made of pressure-treated wood.
I have a shore with fine sand. Can sand accumulate on the rails and result in the tray not moving properly?
A sand floor is not usually a problem. However, at a soft sandy shore, it must be noted that the rails may not be directly against the sand, but instead, the cross beams must be raised slightly more. Wiping brushes that move with the carriage are available as an optional accessory, which wipes away any sand that accumulates on the rails. The wiping brushes are suitable for models that are equipped with a double set of wheels, from VR-700 upwards.
Can EasyBoatRoller be left in place over the winter?
At sheltered shores, the EasyBoatRoller can be left in place over the winter. If it is a case of a large bay or otherwise challenging ice conditions, or EasyBoatRoller has been attached to rock, we recommend removing the part remaining in water in the autumn at the end of the boating season. In this case, the bolts are removed from the joint that remains above water, and the part of the rails that remains in the water is lifted out with e.g. a transfer system for rails, available as an optional accessory, or a winch, or it is freely left underwater below the ice layer. The boat can be left, as normal, on top of the upper part of EasyBoatRoller for winter storage, even if the lower part is removed.
How is EasyBoatRoller delivered?
To facilitate transportation, EasyBoatRoller is delivered in parts. The longest and heaviest individual parts are the rail beams, which are 2 m long and weigh approx. 20 kg, so they can be moved reasonably well after unpacking.
Can EasyBoatRoller be transported on a trailer?
The EasyBoatRoller can be transported on most trailers. The total weight of a 12-metre-long device is approx. 450 kg, and in case of a 14-metre-long device the weight is approx. 50 kg. Size of transportation package: approx. 2 m x 0.8 x 0.5 m (12 m long device). If the carriage planks are longer than 2.5 m (boats longer than 5 m), they are packed separately.
How is EasyBoatRoller installed?
EasyBoatRoller is delivered with installation instructions, which enable the installation to be successfully completed with basic tools. It is important to pay attention to supporting the cross beams every 2 m, so that the rails are installed in as straight a line as possible. Otherwise, the rails can be in the air, and they do not need to be supported for their entire length.

How long is EasyBoatRoller’s warranty?
EasyBoatRoller has a two (2) year warranty for the frame and metal components and a one (1) year warranty for the winch and wooden parts.
Does EasyBoatRoller need maintenance?
EasyBoatRoller does not require any specific, regular maintenance. Every now and then, you should make sure that no stones, debris, etc. have accumulated in the rails. It is recommended that the wheel axle is treated with water vaseline on an annual basis as this extends the service life of the wheels.
